What the Scale Doesn't Tell You

For a majority of people getting on a scale is a frightening proposition. Even before the feet are placed on the scale there is anxiety and a negative outlook. Once the numbers appear, they are checked again and there may be a thought that it cant be right. To much emphasis is placed on what the scale is telling you. An arrangement of numbers should not affect the way a person feels on any given day.

There are instances where we have to pay attention to these numbers. They may be telling us something about our health, positive or negative. Once this information is received the numbers may be  telling us a course of action is needed. After that those numbers become useless. If weight loss is your goal, a much better gauge of how we feel should be what you are doing to make a change.

Are you making changes in your diet? Are you making room for exercise in you life? Are you committing to these changes or are you stalling and making excuses? Ask these questions and answer them honestly. If you can be honest with yourself then you will be able to be happy with yourself and you won't need a scale to tell you how to feel.

Everyone has their own starting point. We all have our own goals and measures of progress, find some that will reflect the work you are putting into yourself  that do not involve getting artificial feedback, Do you feel better on a daily basis? Do you have more energy? Are your clothes fitting better? Are you living like the person you would like to become? Again, honest answers will give you the best feedback.

Create this positive atmosphere around you and I can almost guarantee the next time you decided to get feedback from a scale you will have a much better experience.
